I'm able to provide guided sessions to suit your requirements.
Whether you want to take your first trip to the Wye and need some assistance with your choice of beat and with swim and fish location on the day.
Perhaps you'd like to try and catch a barbel on the float and need help with suitable locations and tactics?
Maybe you're an experienced angler wanting to try a new technique?
Perhaps you'd like an evening on the Warwickshire Avon fishing for zander or pike?
Maybe you are new to river fishing and are in need of some tips and advice, even one-to-one instruction?
Whatever you'd like to do, I'll do my utmost to help.
My guided fishing sessions are about you having the best day possible and achieving your targets. I have a genuine love of being party to a pb or personal first and get immense satisfaction from assisting.
I am always as flexible as possible and suggest we pencil dates into the calendar and book day tickets as close to the session as possible so we have a good idea what conditions will be on the day. That way we can move dates should we require due perhaps to floodwater or a cold snap. The Wye is an unpredictable place.
Most of my requests for guiding relate to sessions on the Wye so I've detailed the following which will give you an idea what a typical booking would entail:-
- We'd discuss your requirements well ahead of the session.
- I'd recommend a beat based on your ambitions for the day and also on your mobility
(some beats have long walks/styles to access the best swims whereas other have parking on the bank).
- We'd book the stretch
(should your day require specific conditions eg for trotting we would leave the booking as late as possible).
- I'd advise on gear and bait etc for the day
(please feel free to ask as many questions as you like - I'm happy to help).
On the day we'd meet at the parking area
(generally just before dawn).
We'd walk the stretch and I'd recommend some swims based on conditions and your requirements.
I'd spend some time with you and ensure you are content.
During this time, if you'd like, I would film you fishing and catching for the Avon Angling YouTube vlog
(this is optional of course and entirely your choice).
Once you're happily angling I'd leave you in peace and go for a wonder myself and undertake a little fishing/filming whilst periodically checking on you.
At dusk we'd retire back to the cars for mutual back patting plus tea and medals.
Most anglers bring their own tackle and bait but I am happy to supply these should you require.
As packages are tailored to you personally, I have no "price list" as such. Cost will depend on location, duration and your personal specifications so will be calculated based on your individual requirements.
